Heal at Any Time, Even During the Elite Four![edit]

Note: This requires a second DS and copy of Pokemon Blask or White. Using the C-Gear's Infrared trade function combined with a second DS and game, you can pull out various Pokemon from your team between each battle with the Elite Four. As you can trade from your boxes, you can switch your teams up and simultaneously heal them if you are having trouble with the Elite Four. With this same method, you can train more than six Pokemon with each visit as well. -Zeron

Flip Your Pokemon Around on Summary Page[edit]

Open your party list and select a Pokemon you wish to turn around. Select summary and it'll bring you to a page detailing their stats. If you click their battle sprite, it'll turn around and face the other way, showing you their backsprite. If you leave their summary page and come back, they'll still be facing the way you left them.

Change Your Online Player Class and Nature[edit]

Open up your X Menu and select the option that has your name on it (your trainer card), and it'll bring you to a screen that shows all of your gym badges. From here, click the icon on the bottom left of the screen to bring up your trainer card. There are 2 categories underneath your name that you can change. The top one is your class, and the second one is your nature. This effects how you appear in the Wi-Fi rooms or on your friend's DS when in a trade, battle, etc. At the very bottom there's even a personal quote you can enter that others can see when they look at your trainer card.

Music Additions[edit]

There are different people and events that make the music change.

  • Talking to the 'Band' in one of the buildings when you get to Accumla Town will give the music a Piano tune and an added beat to it.
  • In Nacrene City there is a man who will play the accordian when you get near him if you talk to him.
  • There are kids running and spinning in a circle in Iciurrus City. A clapping beat will be added when you get near them.
  • In Opelucid City (Black) there is a man with a guitarish instrument. If you talk to him an added techno tune will be added.
  • In Village Bridge a man with an Acoustic Guitar will add to the tune if you talk to him. There is also a man near the bridge who will add his weird voice to the music. Another person hear will add their music to the tune if you talk to the man on the bridge named Russo. There is yet one more person who will add a whistle to the tune if you go to the top right field and talk to him.
  • Anville town has a person who will add a flute to the tune if you talk to the person next to the railing when you first enter the town on the bridge.
  • The music also changes with the seasons. Also, as you go lower into the caves the music gets slower. Lastly, in Castelia town, the building that the GameFreak makers are in, there is one person who will, while in the room, change the music to the Team Rocket theme if you talk to him.

The Masuda Method[edit]

Usually, the chance of encountering a Shiny Pokemon is 1 in 8192. By breeding two Pokemon in the Daycare that are from two different regions (Japan, Europe and America), the chance of breeding a Shiny is increased to 1 in 2048. The Pokemon cannot be from the same different region, but one from one region and the other from another region.

Get More Money for Ore[edit]

In previous games, when you obtain a Nugget, you can take it to the PokeMart and sell it for $5000. The same is true in Pokemon Black and White, however there is a Gentleman in Icirrus City who will pay twice as much for it. He's an Ore collector who hangs out to the right of the Nurse's station in the Pokemon Center there. He also takes Stardust, Star Pieces, and Evolution Stones. So if you come across any of these high-priced sellables, save them for the crazy Ore collector and double your money!

Battle the Rich for Lots of Money[edit]

Go to Undella Town and go west until you find a big mansion. The rich kid here will battle you every day for more money (make sure you have the Amulet Coin equipped). Each battle will be harder than the previous one but with more reward money.

Catch Landorus[edit]

You must first have the National Dex. You must also have Thundurus and Tornadus in your party. Thundurus is from Pokemon Black and Tornadus from White so expect to trade for one of them.

Once you have both Tornadus and Thundurus in your party, head to the Abundant Shrine off of Route 14 and click on the shrine. Landorus will fly down to fight you. It is level 70 and has a low catch rate so be prepared with plenty of high level pokemon, pokeballs and medicines.

TMs That Change Across Games[edit]

There are some TM's that you might want to consider teaching your Pokemon before you transfer them over into the next generation. These are the 4th Generation TMs that will be replaced with a different move in the 5th generation. Therefore you should think about teaching a Pokemon that move before you transfer it. Probably one of the most notable TM changes is the replacement of Stealth Rock, so if you want a good Stealth Rocking Pokemon you better teach it in HeartGold, Soulsilver, Pearl, Diamond, or Platinum before you transfer it to Black or White.

  • TM01 Focus Punch
  • TM03 Water Pulse
  • TM09 Bullet Seed
  • TM19 Giga Drain
  • TM23 Smack Down
  • TM34 Shock Wave
  • TM43 Secret Power
  • TM47 Steel Wing
  • TM48 Skill Swap
  • TM49 Snatch
  • TM51 Roost
  • TM55 Brine
  • TM58 Endure
  • TM59 Dragon pulse
  • TM60 Drain Punch
  • TM62 Silver Wind
  • TM67 Recycle
  • TM72 Avalanche
  • TM76 Stealth Rock
  • TM78 Captivate

Catch a Pokemon with a Good Nature[edit]

Note: This only works for the few Pokemon that you have a choice to battle, in other words, Pokemon that you have to interact with to battle them. An example would be fighting Victini.

Go up to the Pokemon, save the game, battle it and capture it. Look at the nature of the Pokemon to see if it's the nature you want. If it is, great, but if it isn't you can turn the game off, turn it back on, and resume at the last save point, which would be before you battled the Pokemon. Once you battle the Pokemon again it will have a different nature. Doing this will allow you to battle and capture it over and over until you get the right nature.

  • Microwave: Electric/Fire; Move: Overheat
  • Washing Machine: Electric/Water; Move: Hydro Pump
  • Refrigerator: Electric/Ice; Move: Blizzard
  • Electric Fan: Electric/Flying; Move: Air Slash
  • Lawnmower: Electric/Grass; Move: Leaf Storm

Speed Up Egg Hatching by 50%[edit]

Having a pokemon with the ability 'Flame Body' in your party will reduce the number of steps it takes to hatch an egg by 50%. (Note: A second pokemon with Flame Body will not additionally reduce steps.)

Pokemon that can have the Flame Body ability include Ponyta, Rapidash, Magby, Magmar, Magmortar, Slugma, Magcargo, Moltres, Heatran, Litwick, Lampent, Chandelure, Larvesta, and Volcarona.

How to Get All Legendary Pokemon[edit]

Victini (Liberty Garden)Get the Liberty Ticket and go to Castelia City. If you have the Liberty Ticket and you talk to one of the people on the docks, they will take you there where you will challenge Team Plasma. Victini will be in the basement of the building on that island.

Cobalion (Mistralton Cave)Cobalion is in Mistralton Cave. To get to him you will need surf, flash, and strength. Mistralton Cave is located right before Chargestone Cave. There is a house nestled before the entrance of Chargestone cave. Go behind it and head right until you find a stream. Use surf and head right until you reach the cave. Inside you will need to use flash and strength so bring Pokemon with those moves. Cobalion is located on the 3rd floor.

Terrakion (Victory Road)Once you have fought Cobalion you now can face Terrakion. To do so, fly to the Pokemon League and from there head down to Victory Road. Go to the cave on the right on the top of the mountain. When you see your rival (if you beat the game), go down the left flight of stairs. Keep going until you find the boulder that you need to use strength on. Head left and you will see the cave leading to Terrakion.

Virizon (Pinwheel Forest)Once you have fought its brethren, head to Pinwheel Forest. There you should find an opening that wasn't there before in the eastern side of the forest.

Tornadus (Black) / Thundurus (White) (Roaming)You can find them wandering in a random route in the south in the morning, and in the north in the evening.

Landorus (Abundant Shrine)Once you have both Thundurus and Tornadus you can go to the Abundant Shrine to find Landorous. The Abundant Shrine is located in the West of Route 14. You will need surf and waterfall to get there.

Kyurem (Giant Chasm)To get to the Giant Chasm you must head to Route 13. Head along the beach and try and get around the rocks on the north east of the beach. There you can head north until you see stairs. Head up them and you will see a cave. Head through the exit that is fairly visible when you first enter. To get to Kyurem, you must head to the center of the forest where you will find a lake. The whole forest will freeze giving you access to the cave where Kyurem lies.

Zekrom / Reshiram (N's Castle / Dragonsipral Tower)You will eventually encounter the main Legendary in its version through the story. However, if you defeat this Legendary before you capture it, you can go back to Dragonspiral Tower to find it and battle it again once the game is completed.

Teach Fire Type Starter a Water Move[edit]

Super Fast Day Care Leveling[edit]

You gain experience at the Day Care based on the amount of steps you take, one step for each point of experience. (It averages about 2 EXP per second, 120 EXP per minute, 7200 EXP per hour etc.). Bring a lot of cash when you pick up your Pokemon! Note: The moves that a Pokemon learns whilst in the Day-Care Centre will be taught to them, replacing random moves as the Day-Care Lady sees fit.

1.Drop two of your Pokemon off at the Day Care on Route 3.

2.Go to the Battle Subway in Nimbasa City.

3.Position your character in the middle of the round path that encircles the column in the Subway.

4.Find something heavy to set on the DOWN and A buttons on your DS. Rig your DS so these buttons are held down and you can leave and come back later.

5.Leave your DS On for a long time (Leave your DS Charger plugged in) while your character technically takes many steps.

6.Return to the Day-Care Lady for your Pokemon.

Transfer Promotional Pokemon From Other Games (Relocator)[edit]

To unlock the relocator on the Main Menu, head to the second floor of the building with the scientist requesting a password in Castelia City. Talking to him lets you say a phrase. Input Everyone Happy and then Simple Connection and you will be allowed to use the Relocator at the main menu after you save your game. Use this to transfer the Legendary Trio (Raikou, Suicune and Entei) and Celebi to Black or White.

Note from Jose: The Relocator is compeltely different from the Pokemon Transfer which you obtain after the first encounter with the Elite Four. The Relocator only works with the Pokemon given out during the special (Gamestop) promotion.

National Dex[edit]

After you beat Ghetsis and watch the credits, leave you house and you will receive the National Dex containing slots for all Pokemon 1-649. If you haven't caught them all, here's a complete <a href='https://guides.ign.com/guides/59687/page_4.html'>Pokedex</a>.

Get Pokemon from Older Games[edit]

When you beat the game, Bianca will tell you to head to Black City from Nimbasa City. On that path there is a building where a scientists let you trade for Pokemon from your previous games. You have to trade exactly six Pokemon (no less and no more). They cannot know any HMs that were in the previous game. Once you trade Pokemon you can never trade them back to the previous game.

Trainer Card Colors[edit]

Perform the following actions to unlock different colors for your Trainer Card. These can be done in any order.

  • Green Card - Default color
  • Purple Card - Defeat the Elite 4
  • Black/White Card - Complete the National <a href='https://guides.ign.com/guides/59687/page_4.html' target='blank'>Pokedex</a>
  • Gold Card - Collect all Pokemon Musical Items/Costumes
  • Red Card - Win 49 times in a row in both Super Single and Super Double Subway lines in the Battle Subway
  • Silver Card - Get all Entralink Powers

Birthday Bonuses[edit]

Play Pokemon on your birthday set in the DS calendar and the nurse at the Pokemon center will wish you a Happy Birthday. Additionally, you can talk to the owner of the Musical upstairs in his office to receive a birthday cake. Finally, Routes 14 and 15 will be clear of fog.

Catch Audino in the Shaking Grass[edit]

Look for shaking patches of tall grass! The Pokemon Audino is hiding there and if you walk over the spot you'll enter a battle with it. This is the only way to find this particular Pokemon. Audino is a Normal type Pokemon that learns many healing moves (like Chansey). Defeating Audino also gives a lot of Experience Points, making it worth your time to find and battle them.

Try using Repel in the grass to make finding the shaking patches much easier to find -- no random battles will prevent you from finding Audino.

Easy (Late Game) Experience[edit]

After you beat the Elite 4, go to the Giant Chasm with 2 Blisseys in the back of your party. When you encounter Ditto, send in Blissey, let the Ditto transform into Blissey, switch back out, and defeat the 'Blissey' for massive EXP.

Catch Victini[edit]

You'll have to have a Nintendo WiFi connection and get the Mystery Gift from the main menu before 4/10/2011. You can use the Mystery Gift, the Liberty Pass, to catch Victini in the dungeon of the tower in Liberty Garden. Catch Victini at Lv. 15.

Extremely Useful Items[edit]

These items will help you gain money, experience and more! Be sure to give the item to a Pokemon to reap its benefits after collecting it!

  • Amulet Coin (increases money earned) - In order to get the Amulet Coin you have to unite the three dancers in Castelia City. The first one is by the fountain. Fight and defeat him and he will ask you to find two other dancers (they look exactly like him). They are on Narrow Street and on a Unity Pier. Fight them and then talk to them afterwords they will join the guy by the fountain. Return to the fountain and talk to the dancer in the middle and he will give you the Amulet Coin.
  • Exp. Share (gives EXP to a Pokemon not used in battle) - In Castella City there is a building called Battle Company off the main strip. Go inside and up the elevator. Clear both floors of all trainers. On the top floor in the top right corner you'll find the the 'CEO' behind a desk. Fight him and it turns out to be the janitor. Beat him and he gives you the Exp. Share. Another Exp. Share can be found in the Pokemon Fan Club headquarters in Icirrus City. Show a Pokemon between levels 25 and 49 to get it.
  • Lucky Egg (doubles amount of EXP gained) - Perhaps the most useful item in the game, you can score the Lucky Egg by making your way through Chargestone Cave as part of the main quest. Professor Juniper will give it to you at the exit. The only way to get another one is to randomly receive it from the man in the sunglasses near the Ultimate Move Tutor's House in Route 13. Talk to him each day for a random rare item.
  • Health Wig (Raises the base health level of a Pokemon) - Cross Charizard Bridge after defeating the 4th gym leader. While crossing toward the middle their is a shawdowy black dot kinda floating in the wind on the ground. Simply step on top of it to recieve a Health Wig .

Unity Tower[edit]

In the oceans of Unova there is an area called the Unity Tower. To gain access to it, you must first do an international trade using the Geonet. You then can go to the Unity Tower by getting on the boat at the Unity Pier at Castelia City. The Unity Tower keeps track of all the people from different countries available on the Geonet. You may talk to these people and track things about them such as what Pokemon were traded.

Special Evolutions and Form Changes[edit]

Whether you bring your old Legendary Pokemon into Black and White or catch new Pokemon with special needs, here are the ways you can change forms and evolve special Pokemon.

  • Magneton (Magnezone) - Fight enemies in Chargestone Cave
  • Nosepass (Probopass) - Fight enemies in Chargestone Cave
  • Eevee (Leafon, Glaceon) - Fight enemies near moss-covered stone in Pinwheel Forest for Leafeon / Fight enemies near frozen ice crystal at the bottom of Twist Mountain for Glaceon
  • Feebas (Milotic) - Trade Feebas while it holds a Prism Scale (get a Prism Scale on Route 13)
  • Deerling/Sawsbuck (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter Forms) - The seasons in Pokemon Black and White change by real-time months, each season features a special look for your Deerling or Sawsbuck
  • Rotom (Normal, Heat, Wash, Frost, Fan, Mow Forms) - Open boxes in teh first door on floor 1 of the Shopping Mall Nine to change Rotom's form
  • Giratina (Origin Form) - Give Giratina a Griseous Orb from the Shadow Triad on the Marvelous Bridge to change its form
  • Shaymin (Sky Form) - Give Gracidea from the woman in the Pokemon Center in Lacunosa Town to Shaymin
  • Deoxys (Normal, Attack, Defense, Speed) - Examine the meteor in the museum in Nacrene to cycle through forms
  • Arceus - Give a plate to Arceus to change form

Breeding for Unique Pokemon[edit]

You can drop male and female Pokemon off at the Pokemon Day Care to breed them. Some breeding requires special combinations of Pokemon:

  • Zora - In order to breed Zoroark you must drop both Zoroark AND Lucario off at the Pokemon Day Care. The egg will be a Zora.

Battle Alder[edit]

Alder is the Champion of the Pokemon League, but Plasma stops you the first time you defeat the Elite Four and you battle N and Ghetsis instead. If you want to battle Alder, just go to the Pokemon League and defeat the Elite Four a second time. He'll be there with a team of Level 75-78 Pokemon.

Hydreigon's Dark Pulse S.T.A.B. Bonus[edit]

Hydreigon is a Dark/Dragon pokemon with high special attack. The only way to have it learn Dark Pulse for the S.T.A.B. bonus is to teach Dark Pulse via TM to a male Ekans, Arbok, or Seviper in Pokemon D/P/Pl/HG/SS and breed it with a female Deino, Zweilous, or Hydeigon. This is because TM79 which was formerly Dark Pulse was changed to Frost Breath in Black and White.

Tons of Money[edit]

In Undella Bay you'll find the Abyssal Ruins. In the mazes there is various artifacts worth up to $200,000 to a certain maniac living in the Villa in Undella Town. He will also buy meteor shards, shards, and mushrooms. Note: Don't worry about getting lost, as after a while of exploring it will eventually spit you out.

EV Training[edit]

When you get the Liberty Pass via wifi, go to any Pokemon Center and look for a man wearing blue. Talk to him and he will give you the Liberty Pass so you can go to Liberty Island using the boat at Castelia City. When you defeat all of Team Plasma you will have the option to go into the lighthouse and inside will be Victini. Instead of catching it kill it as much as you want. Victini will keep on respawning if you leave the room after you kill him. This is perfect if your EV training for HP because Victini gives you +3 Hp EVs, paired with the EV boosting item, you should max out your EV's in no time.

Heal At Any Time, Even During the Elite Four[edit]

Note: This requires a second DS and copy of Pokemon Blask or White. Using the C-Gear's Infrared trade function combined with a second DS and game, you can pull out various Pokemon from your team between each battle with the Elite Four. As you can trade from your boxes, you can switch your teams up and simultaneously heal them if you are having trouble with the Elite Four. With this same method, you can train more than six Pokemon with each visit as well.

Clean Badges[edit]

If you run your stylus over your badges, it will make them shine and sparkle. Tap them and you even hear them chime! This works for both Black and White.

Pokemon Hacks For Sun And Moon

Seen March 16th, 2019

I've been here and there through all the forums yet I'm still amazed by how much threads have grown on here. I'm announcing my return to map editing and a new journey on the Pokémon NDS scene. Instead of a reimagined remake of previous games (Hoenn/Kanto) which takes up time I would like to showcase a brand new original rom hack of my own.
But I need you help with a few questions

Should I go for a SPACE OPERA genre or TWO WORLDS INTERTWINED genre for my rom hack?
Any other ideas feel free to throw them down in the comments?!?
Should I include Fakemons or keep the original Pokémon in the NDS rom I'm using?
I have a couple Fakemons that could make it to the final product.
How much overhaul of the original NDS Pokémon graphics should I overhaul?
Right now I'm using all GEN4/5 textures?
Should I follow the core Pokémon style with a rival side story and Professor at the beginning giving us a starter then sending us off on a quest?
I can always change what happens from the beginning to anything so send me ideas on the way.
What kind of protagonist would you like to see?
What would you like to see in a NDS Pokémon Rom Hack personally?

Anyways I'll be checking out the comments on my own time. The community drives the ideas and the person who has the power to do it will make it.
